This Jianshui Zitao teapot is a masterpiece of traditional Yunnan craftsmanship, entirely handmade from prized purple clay (Zitao)—a dense, mineral-rich ceramic revered for its unique interaction with tea. The wide 6 cm lid opening makes it ideal for large-leaf teas (e.g., Pu-erh, Dian Hong or White tea), allowing easy loading and optimal leaf expansion.

100% Handmade: Each teapot is individually shaped, carved, and polished by skilled artisans, ensuring subtle variations that embody its one-of-a-kind charm. No industrial molds are used.

Jianshui Purple Clay (Zitao): Sourced from Yunnan’s ancient kiln sites, this clay fires to a distinctive black-brown hue with a natural, unglazed texture. Over time, it develops a lustrous patina that enhances tea flavor retention.

Thermal Properties: The dense clay structure retains heat evenly, gently steeping tea without scorching, while micro-pores subtly oxygenate the brew for smoother taste.

Functional Design & Tea Enhancement
