Description:
This teapot features a square design with sharp, straight lines and precise cut surfaces, extending to the spout, handle, and knob. Master Li Wei’s exquisite carvings adorn the body—on the front, a finely detailed landscape engraving, while the reverse bears the inscription "Clear thoughts refresh the spirit; drinking brings harmony" (清思益神，饮之太和), evoking an elegant scholarly ambiance. A highly recommended masterpiece!

"Hei Dun Tou" is a rare stratum of Huanglongshan's original mineral deposits. When fired, it develops a deep reddish-brown hue, with an iron-like texture that is smooth yet highly breathable. With proper tea seasoning, it easily develops a rich patina. This clay was a premium material for teapot-making during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and privately stored aged clay from this deposit is exceptionally scarce today.

Collaboration of Academic Masters

Bao Yuhua specializes in geometric teapot designs. This piece features a 12-hole filter (compared to the standard 9-hole design), optimizing functionality and fluid dynamics. The square joints are reinforced with hidden "pin-and-mortise" craftsmanship for structural integrity.

Professor Li Wei's carvings blend the Wuxi Light Industry Institute's refined style with Xu Beihong's freehand brushwork. His technique incorporates "flying white" (fei bai) strokes in the negative spaces, while the calligraphy follows Han Dynasty clerical script, embodying the quintessential scholar's teapot aesthetic.
