sun-dried: 2018 Lao Bai Cha- Shou Mei with Xinhui Chenpi

A delicate of time and tradition unfolds in this hand-pressed tea treasure—2018 vintage Shou Mei white tea, sun-dried under Fujian's golden skies, now lovingly entwined with slivers of Xinhui mandarin peel. Each petite 5-gram square, hailing from Fuding's misty mountains, is a self-contained universe of warmth and wisdom.

The Poetry of Leaves

Aged Shou Mei (2018):
Six monsoons have whispered over these leaves since their harvest, softening their spirit into something profoundly gentle. Sun-withered and patient, they now offer honeyed sweetness—a melody of sun-dried dates, wild herbs, and ancient forests lingering in every sip.

Xinhui Chenpi:
From Guangdong’s blessed groves, these amber-hued citrus rinds bring vivacity to the tea’s quiet depth. Their sunshine-bright zest lifts the brew with whispers of candied tangerine, while their earthy warmth cradles the body like a tonic for the soul.

Petite Tea Squares:
Pressed with reverence, each 5-gram mosaic of tea and peel unfurls gracefully in water. No harsh compression—only a promise of slow revelation, as if the leaves were preserved mid-sigh.

A Tapestry of Warmth: On the tongue: A duet of ripe orchard fruit and sun-cured citrus, woven through with the quiet musk of aged tea.In the body: Chenpi’s golden chi stirs digestion, while the mellow Shou Mei cradles the throat like a lullaby.

Brewing as Ritual

Method 1: Gaiwan Ceremony

Dose: One square (5g), a gift unto itself.

Water: 100°C—a rolling boil to awaken both tea and peel.

Steps:

Awaken: Rinse swiftly with boiling water, a baptism of heat.

Unfold: Pour with intention. First three infusions (10–15 sec) burst with citrus-kissed caramel; later steeps grow velvety, like molasses on oak.

Persist: 8–10 steeps, until the leaves sigh their last.

Method 2: Winter’s Embrace (Simmered Brew)

For when the air bites:

Nestle a square in 300ml cold water. Heat it slow—let the flavors rise like dawn.

At first simmer, pause. One minute of patience yields a potion of spiced honey and hearth smoke.

Rekindle the leaves twice more; each boil deepens the amber glow.
