Zhang Yi (1941–2008) was a renowned Pu'er tea producer in Yiwu Town, Yunnan Province, and the former head of Yiwu Township. He championed handmade tea production, particularly the traditional stone-pressing technique, and played a pivotal role in revitalizing the tea-growing region.

Appearance: The surface appears glossy with slightly loose edges (a typical feature of early stone-mould pressing).

Liquor: The brewed tea yields a clear, chestnut-red infusion with a aged aroma underscored by wild camphor notes.

Spent Leaves: The brewed leaves are thick and pliable, displaying a liver-brown hue with visible vitality.

This tea holds profound historical value as it represents the culmination of Elder Zhang Yi's lifelong pursuit to revive the traditional craftsmanship of old Yiwu tea. Named after "Shun Shi Xing"—one of the first privately owned tea houses established in post-1949 China—this particular production was personally crafted by Zhang Yi himself.

Having been carefully aged for 23 years, this tea has now become exceedingly rare in the market.

The indicated weight refers to the moment the discs/bricks/pieces were manufactured. The weight loss increases with the storage period and can range from 5-20% for a disc from 2006, for example!
